The MODUL ZFWZ 1250 is a heavy-duty gear hobbing machine designed for high-precision cutting of large spur and helical gears. Manufactured by VEB Werkzeugmaschinenkombinat “7. Oktober” Berlin – Kombinatsbetrieb MODUL (Germany), this machine is renowned for its robust construction, long service life, and reliable performance in demanding industrial applications.

The machine is upgrated for machining gears with a maximum workpiece diameter of 1550 mm. It features a gear hobber diameter of 235 mm, with a cutting width of 600 mm, and supports gear modules from 2 to 16, making it suitable for a wide range of gear sizes.

The hobbing spindle operates with infinitely variable speed control between 28 and 200 rpm, allowing precise adjustment to different materials and cutting conditions. The machine is equipped with a tilting stand (left/right ±45°) for machining helical gears.

The main drive motor is inverter-controlled with a power of 11,000 W (11 kW), supported by a 12.5 kW rapid traverse motor, ensuring both high cutting performance and efficient non-cutting movements. The large rotary table with a diameter of 1020 mm provides excellent stability for heavy workpieces.

With a total machine weight of approximately 16,000 kg and rigid cast-iron construction, the ZFWZ 1250×14I delivers excellent vibration damping and machining accuracy. Power supply is 3-phase AC, 380 V, 50 Hz.
