The machine was used for filling icing tubes and applying sugar edging for gingerbread hearts. Special heads were manufactured for both sizes of gingerbread hearts and for two different tube sizes. In addition, plastic blocks were made to hold the different-sized empty tubes, which were then slid under the machine for filling and subsequently moved under the sealing machine for closing the tubes.
