The "V-arrangement" of the rotor blades keeps the pre-shredded material in the center of the rotor. This significantly reduces wear on the grinding chamber walls when grinding glass fiber reinforced plastics. Material sticking to the side walls is avoided. The staggered arrangement of the rotor disks means that only individual blades are used at any one time, so a higher cutting force is available in each case.
