Saw tooth swaging is another method, alongside setting, to ensure the saw blade's free cutting action during stock removal. During the swaging process, a swaging bolt is positioned in front of the saw tooth while the tooth is held against an anvil. The rotation of the eccentric swaging bolt shifts the saw blade material toward the tooth tip. Once the swaging process is complete, the swaging bolt automatically returns to its original position.
