Forest VH 3000S Ø 4600 mm

This machine is a three-station milling machine designed for the automatic machining, in a continuous cycle, of steam turbine blade roots.

The three stations of this machine are defined as follows:
- loading station with hidden time
- roughing station (horizontal spindle)
- finishing station (vertical spindle)

A fixed, large cast-iron frame supports a circular plate onto which the machining fixtures will be mounted.
The horizontal spindle moves, without overhang, on a rigid and fixed base.
The feed of this spindle is controlled via a feed gearbox integrated with the base.
The transverse feed of the vertical spindle involves movement of the upright on a fixed base.
This movement is controlled by a feed gearbox located at the rear and integrated with the frame.
The vertical feed of the vertical spindle involves movement of the spindle along the upright.
This movement is controlled by the transverse feed gearbox located at the rear of the base.
