VHZ -ESC drive (E=electronic, S=slip, C=control) is a milestone in drive technology for shredder - energy-efficient, cost-efficient and economic. This drive dispenses with gearbox and fluid coupling, is space-saving in itsdesign and also is extremely low-maintenance and low-noise. Its starting strength even under load is due tointeraction between the high-performance frequency converter and the multi-pole drive motor. The variable speedrange allows to individually parameterize the machine on the particular input material and thus to profit from thehighest efficiency of the drive.
One further advantage of the new drive concept is the reliable detection of impurities, that activates an immediateshutdown of the machine. At the same time the rotor is braked, so that it stops quickly to prevent damages asfar as possible.
