Original German vehicle.
In service with a small municipality until 2026, initially used by the fire brigade and then by the municipal works department.
This vehicle has civilian truck registration as a "box body truck" and is officially rated for 9 seats in the registration papers.
The vehicle was originally operated as a multi-purpose vehicle (MZF), and afterwards was used to transport the municipality’s lawn mower. Only 1 bench seat is permanently mounted. 2 of the 3 bench seats were not used in recent years and are included loose. The original seat belts and mounting bolts are also supplied. A fold-out table with a radio handset is still installed on the left side, and a genuine large fire brigade first aid kit is integrated into the fit-out.
OM 602 engine, 5-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel with 2874 cc. The engine always starts perfectly and runs cleanly at first, but after about 20 seconds at idle the running characteristics at idle worsen significantly and smoke develops. Once warmed up, the smoke subsides and the engine runs cleanly again, almost normally. The engine is either heavily worn or there is engine damage. No precise diagnosis so far.
The vehicle drives immediately and functions well; typical engine power was fully and consistently available during a brief test drive, but we do not guarantee roadworthiness. A repair is certainly necessary in the near term!
For driving short distances or boarding a RORO ship at port under its own power towards Africa, this 310 D appears completely unproblematic.

Factory-installed auxiliary heater Mercedes/Eberspächer (working).
Bodywork has isolated rust spots; overall, due to years of storage indoors, the vehicle is still in comparatively good condition. The passenger door window is broken and covered with a film. The paint below has previously been touched up in black.
The vehicle clearly received very good maintenance while with the fire brigade—unfortunately, this was not maintained afterwards.
Opening the sliding door mechanically deploys a large step.
